This is my life on the Denver Glacier just outside of Skagway, Alaska. I am a handler at this dog camp. I have been around dogs my whole life, and have been running sled dogs for about 10 years. Another cool day here in MN. Yesterday was 45 in the morning and the day before never got above 55. So you are not missing a "nice weather" summer. Sounds like your weather is better than ours. Alan and I are going to Ely tomorrow. We are going to the Wolf Center (where you and I went 2 years ago), the Bear Center, and to visit the Rootbeer Ladies house. Alan use to know her when she was alive. He and his buddies would stop by her house on the way home from the BWCAW and she would give them rootbeer. They even gave her a canoe paddle to add to her canoe paddle fence. So he wants to go visit her house again. We took the kayak out again on Sunday in StJohn's lake. Their lakes are hidden and no electric motors. Said they were pulling in 8# bass (we saw a 5#). Grandma, Hazel and I sure had fun on Mon. shopping for you. Consider this package your birthday present from all of us. Hope you enjoy it honey, hope they fit. (Really nothing to choose from. We were told several times "pants are out of season". Can you believe that. It is MN. Coats are never out of season! I got your letter with the pictures and business cards in it. Can I give the business cards away? Fun to see the pictures of your musher/ handler friends. Enjoy your day honey. Living on a glacier! Such and adventure! Stock up on memories and laughter! love you Rache! mom
